HAPPY HALLOWEEN my fellow Deviants! :3
I present you with another Halloween tradition of mine that I began ever since I joined the military.
We have had six previous "Doghouse of Horrors" already as this is the month when I get particularly creative with all sorts of spooky and fun artworks.
Here are the previous six all presented by your lovely hostess Lady Malmsteen; whose birthday is also today. XD
Yeah she wasn't looking so lively in last year's. Well she's back an lovelier than ever. ![;) (Wink) ;)]()

I give you Doghouse of Horror VII!
And if you can tell by the cover; it's all about parody.
The cover is a parody of Pulp Fiction. (Obviously.) Sometimes this poster is just as famous as the movie; although it's the movie that pretty much tops a lot of 'Top Best Films of All Time' lists. (For some reason.) There's another film title in Doghouse of Horror VII that does the same.
I know; Pulp Fiction isn't horror-themed. (Though some scenes in that film can be horrific/disturbing as is the nature of Quentin Tarantino.) It's not my first Tarantino parody either; I did one last year with 'Rango Unchained.'
The best part of the cover is listing off the cast of characters who will appear throughout the special. It gets a little more specific at the bottom describing some of them. And if you didn't know already; the bottom name describes our Lady Malmsteen. ;3
anyways; onto the stories.
The first story is a parody of Steven King's 'IT.' I been meaning to do a parody of 'IT' for a long time as I love the book, the miniseries and the recent movie. But I didn't exactly know how to go about it for a while. I knew it had to involve Kitty; as this is definitely not her first encounter with a clown. Only she will be on the receiving end of the clown's wrath rather the former when a birthday clown surprised her to which she zapped him. You never forget a scene as a TUFF fan that involves Kitty Katswell zapping a clown.
The clown of course is a parody of Pennywise. In trying to go with how I wanted him to look it was between the Tim Curry version and the 2017 movie version. I think mine slides more to the Curry version; although in the end I think what I came up with looks a bit more like Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal. Hey; as long as I convey and evil killer psycho clown that's all that matters. As for his name; yes I named him Nickelback. XD This is a parody after all.
Now for the story itself. IT describes past events to which Pennywise was around. So I decided to involve Kitty's ancestors in this one. Although this isn't like the Felis Codex that my friend
created in the vein of Sly Cooper. No this is another account of Kitty's ancestors sharing one thing in common. And that is being haunted by a supernatural evil killer clown.

The theme of their different stories taking place at different periods in time also had me come up with the parody's title. It's based off the movie 'Cloud Atlas' if anyone can remember it; where it showed different stories of peoples' lives throughout time seemingly all linked. Only instead of class struggles it's an evil clown that links them in Kitty's case.
You know I have to admit; that is one nasty clown I created. It actually looks a bit terrifying. What do you think?
The second parody was actually given to me as an idea from
. He actually quite a few cool parody ideas; including some for 'Nightmare on Elm Street' and 'The Shining.' Maybe I'll parody those some day too. But the one I ended up building upon he gave me is a parody of the 'Scooby Doo' franchise. It's actually been a while since I seen Scooby Doo. I'm more familiar with the original Hanna Barbara cartoons and some of the newer movies from the early 2000's. But it's the perfect cartoon series to watch during Halloween if you just want good campy fun. And it seems the campiness has been taken to a while new level here.

Featuring Mayor Teddy Bear; he's calling the TUFF gang because a ghost named "Holy Cow" is haunting him. I know; isn't there already a character on the show named "Holey Cow?" Well yeah; that's the big reveal. 'Holy Cow' was actually 'Holey Cow!'
WHATTA TWIST!!
But the Mayor realizes this investigation by TUFF may not go as smoothly as he thinks. The TUFF gang shows up dressed as the Scooby Doo Mystery gang. Dudley Puppy is Shaggy (and Scooby rolled into one.) Kitty Katswell is Daphne. Eric the Water Cooler Guy (who apparently gets his big break here) is Fred.
And the oddest of them all is Keswick as Velma. This somewhat fits him; and his memorable line is why I chose him to play the role. It's the not the first time he almost swore on a kid's show.
Why are they dressed and acting like this? Well that's something the Mayor can't figure out. In fact he's a bit disturbed that they're behaving this way and starts being more unsure of them than the ghost. Which is an interesting premise. Think of it; four oddly proportioned teenagers and a talking dog going around investigating the paranormal? Isn't that almost as odd as the original ghost/monster they're investigating? And it looks like the Mayor also has powerful political relatives. Is that a portrait of El Presidente back there?
Yeah it really is a mystery. Not even the ghost anymore; the mystery being the TUFF gang acting all Scooby-Dooish.
The third and final parody has a title parodying a non-horror movie and starts out that way; but quickly evolves into a parody of another horror movie. Interesting how it's pretty much two parodies in one story.
The title and premise of Larry going to jail is based off 'The Shawshank Redemption.' Larry goes to prison thanks to his fellow DOOM mates. Man; even Ollie threw him under the boss. It's not Larry's day at all.
While in prison he meets another cellmate like the in the movie. Only it's not the kindly wise-old comforting figure of Morgan Freeman. It's a masked killer named Michael Micers. Ah; here's the second part of the parody. It's now obviously a parody of the 'Halloween.' movies. (excluding III.) The recent Halloween 2018 movie came out and I have yet to see it; but I hear its actually pretty good.
Anyway, Larry befriends him and decides he could be a useful ally. In both breaking out of prison; and getting back at his former friends at DOOM for sticking him in prison.
So obviously they escaped. And obviously they're looking into DOOM HQ ready to exact revenge on Snaptrap, Ollie and Francisco. So at this point it's no longer 'Redemption' as it is 'Retribution.' All the other DOOM members looks spooked. Most likely cause that John Carpenter theme of Halloween is playing since Michael Micers is nearby.
The mouse mask was no doubt inspired by Maus the book series. I think even The Simpsons did a parody of that. Man Doghouse of Horror was obviously inspired by Simpsons Treehouse of Horror. We've come full circle now. XD
Anyways, enjoy your Halloween everyone. This tradition of Doghouse of Horror will never stop.
How many of them will I ultimately end up with? XD
