For my tenth Inktober pic I focused on another one of my characters that lives in the same world as Chris Fuzz and Ruth Campbell.
It's their panda friend Xu Chan.
And....her family.
I've dropped bits and pieces here and there hinting at my characters' families. But Xu was the one I wanted to do because she has the biggest family of my characters.
She has a father, a mother and two brothers.
Her father Lu Chan is that classic patriarch authority figure. Look how he sits; almost like a Mafia boss. Well given some of his business dealings, that's actually not too far off. XD
The matron of course if Lu's wife and Xu's mother Mi Chan. A rather shapely panda wife who has given birth to three kids and still maintains her figure. Not one to speak out against Lu and always nurturing towards her kids. She is also very flattered by people who enjoy her cooking....provided they have a taste for different kinds of bamboo dishes.
Xu herself is present; standing by her dad. Below and to the right of her is her younger and older brother: Wa Chan and Bo Chan.
Wa Chan is the youngest member of the family. A grade school panda cub at the age of nine and an avid gamer. That's a Nintendo Switch he's holding in his hands. He and Chris Fuzz often get into discussions (as well as heated debates) over video games and video game systems. It embarrasses Xu somewhat when she watches Chris argue with her younger brother over video games.
The older brother Bo Chan is more interested in another electronic medium; loud club/trance music. He's a local disc jockey and always drops sick beats at various parties. He also likes to make some of his original music. His father of course thinks it's garbage but he could care less.
Xu's personality is that of a social media trend chaser. Always on her phone and taking selfies where she can. It can annoy her friends at times but overall she's a nice friend to have. And she usually likes hanging out with them more than her reserved father and mother. She's more closer to her brothers trying to be a moral role model for Wa Chan (though he shows no interest) and really into her older brother Bo Chan's electronic beats.
