For today's Inktober I used Corel Painter instead of Photoshop.
It suited my purpose in drawing one of my characters in the style of Japanese Ink Painting: AKA Sumi-E.
Jenti my ninja raccoon Sly Cooper OC (who lived during the time of Rioichi Cooper for those who don't know) was a great subject to practice this style on.
It'd be so neat if I did this on real paper but digital helped in every aspect.
I really like how her hair came out in this. Normally her ponytail isn't that big but I love exaggerating some of her features for the purpose of this ink painting.
It helps bring the style out more that the outlines that define her body aren't entirely connected.
I should try this style on some other of my characters too. It's really fun and I like the results.
