Doghouse of Horror VIII

As promised, I present to you this year's Doghouse of Horror; celebrating eight years of projected horror anthologies for your own amusement.

I must apologize for the lateness. I needed some time to myself and with my girlfriend to pay respects to the recent passing of one of her tiels. ;_; She still got Penta baby though so I'm happy about that and her tiel was old. But still, had to be quiet and respect and the departed.

Inktober was a huge part of October for me. Through it I leaned that nothing has to be a huge project and that sometimes fully rendering characters (with shades and lighting and stuff) isn't always necessary. Sometimes simplicity is all you need to get the point across.

So there are no shadows or lighting used in this year's Doghouse of Horror. I think the flat colors are all I really need.

This could be a good way to test out the waters should I ever decide to tackle future TUFF fan comics. Especially the ones involving Lady Malmsteen.

Speaking of which; Lady Malmsteen returns as the ghoulishly beautiful host for Doghouse of Horror VIII. It's always traditional to make her the host. But she is joined by other fan creations as well to create a spoof-filled image of the Addam's Family. Yeah I did manage to catch the recent animated film. It was...okay. Wasn't horrible but not great either. I still prefer the Raul Julia, Angelica Houston and Christopher Lloyd films: both are some of my favorite movies of all time.

Lady Malmsteen plays Morticia Addams of course. My sweetheart really did some beautiful renders of her as Morticia. <3333

So yes let's refer to her as Malmticia. X3

Playing the role of her beloved Gomez is 's Agent Kei. I drew the two as Morticia and Gomez quite some time ago:

Playing their children are Le Noir the Kitten as Wednesday Addams and their son Vergil as Pugsley. Our good friend was kind enough to allow us the use of him and even drew Vergil as Pugsley when I announced this project during April.

The role of Uncle Fester went to my own Chris Fuzz. You could refer to him as Uncle Fuzzter. XD I gotta say I love both the Christopher Lloyd and animated film versions of Uncle Fester. I felt all the films utilized him fairly. The new one didn't want to make Fester the main focus and for the sake of the story that works out well. I loved how in the end he ended up hooking with the "Villain" of the animated film.

What is it about Fester that makes him pretty much most peoples' favorite character? XD

Rounding up the cast are some other characters whom the creators volunteered.

allowed the use of Madmoiselle Couverture for the role of Cousin Itt; in that she is covered all the time.

The role of Lurch belonged to the tall and handsomely gruesome Wreckage created by our friend I wonder how he feels being put into butler status.

Even someone volunteered their character's hand as Thing. XD A shoutout to for the use of his character Mischief even he is just a hand. XD

No one was able to fill in the slot of Gran-Mama. So I just used Ringu Suzuki the long haired Japanese undead fox girl as the substitute. She coulda filled in for Cousin Itt too. XD

The first story is a part 2 of last year’s story “Clown Atlas” which was itself a parody of It. Since It Chapter 2 came out I decided to continue and end the saga of Nickelback the Dancing Clown. The subtitle itself being a reference to Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Kitty’s nightmare soon becomes everyone else’s when the spirit of Nickelback is split and his malevolence spreads to other clowns around the world. They begin invading via those trademark red balloons associated with It’s Pennywise. Note some of the clowns coming in. One looks vaguely like the Arthur Fleck version of The Joker. Had to pay tribute to that tour de force performance somehow. One clown is also a straight up photo of Ronald McDonald. Xx
Keswick and Dudley are understandably freaked out by this while Kitty realizes the curse of Nickelback is not over. This has to end here and now. No more clowning around!!

The next story is a parody of Harry Potter both in terms of premise and title. For some reason I like the title but not as much as using Bird Brain for the parody of the Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort. He may be a blue booby but for the sake of bird type puns I named him Lord Vulturemort. His sidekick Zippy also appears for the first time in a Doghouse of Horror pic. She might’ve been in Doghouse of Horror 5 though. Also for the first time we have dialogue in the artwork. I normally have characters just convey the action. But for such a special parody of a special series I wanted to add it. It goes with Dudley riding his broomstick beyond wrong. I might need to re-write it though as it seems too dark. But here’s what it says.
Lord Vulturemort: Zippy....Who is that flying dingbat?
Zippytrix LeStrange: I think he’s your arch nemesis boss....
