Day 12 is a doozy. You had the words "Slippery" and "Rough." Well um....what could you possibly do with words like that? XD
Well how about describing a ship at sea during a nasty storm? Funny....Storm is also a word used in this Inktober. This might make me think of a sequel to this pic that took me a rather long time to make. And you can see why.
The cast of characters are Sly fan characters of mine. Namely characters who existed in the time of Rioichi Cooper. In fact they accompany him on his journey to retrieve the Five Orbs. That's Rioichi on the bow trying to hold down the masts. His crew also tries holding it down for him.
It's been a dog's age since I drew these guys...save for Jenti who is also holding things down at the stern.
I better give you a refresher on who these guys are:
Poor Samunuske is holding on for dear life with the rope clenched between his teeth. Babayama meanwhile stands firm trying to find a clearing in all this stormy weather. Buraku also assists Rioichi and Jenti in holding down the masts.
But the deck is getting all slippery thanks to the rain; hence where the word slippery comes in. It's causing Kintaro, Urashima and Chagama to lose their bearing. I don't think they'll fall overboard. But if they do; hopefully Rioichi's shark friend is nearby to save them.
The quest for the five orbs is indeed fraught with perils. But if a storm would be the biggest one these adventurers would face then you got another thing coming.
Let us hope they find better weather soon. As I mentioned there could be a sequel to this piece; the calm after the storm. We'll see. ;D
The rain effect is nothing more than a pattern overlay with lowered transparency. I worked long hours on this pic and kinda cheated. So sure me. XD It's not easy and very time consuming to draw individual drops of rain.
Rioichi Cooper belongs to Sony
All other characters present belong to me.
