ChunLi Character Portrait

For a little project on .
The idea was to take the original portraits that are part of the character select screen from the original Street Fighter II.
We apply different styles to them in other words.

There are twelve participants for this: meaning that there is an absence of Cammy, Fei Long, Deejay, T. Hawk and Akuma. This is the original Street Fighter II before later additions. So the twelve are as such: Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Blanka, Dhalsim, Guile, E. Honda, Zangief, Balrog, Vega, Sagat and M. Bison.

I was given Chun Li as I was down to two choices when finding out about this: either her or Balrog. I decided to take on her.

I got her in the classic pose as we were instructed. I gave her a more stylized face this time around. Fuller lips and more slitted stylized eyes. Her chin and nose were sharpened too. This was inspired pretty much by the 'Celebrity Sketches' seen in 'Wreck it Ralph' at Tapper's.

I was actually given an idea; to make her costume the alternative orange color which was intended to be her main color of choice. But they went to blue which is far more iconic. Plus I already saw what this looked like in orange. Yeah; the blue was better. Just sticking with familiarity; nothing wrong with that. ;D
