Baa La La La La La

Saw 'Big Hero Six'; and of course; Disney once again provides us with a super loveable character. Baymax is what you'd expect from his design; a large huggable robot whose movements and speech patterns provide comedy gold and a real joy for the audience to identify with.
One of his funnier moments in when he is interacting with Hiro; and when trying to 'fist bump' the guy, Hiro does the 'peewwww' motion of an explosion. But to Baymax; it doesn't mean the same to him as a robot. So all he can do is respond by flickering his fingers and trying to mimic the sound with "Baa la la la la la!"
This got a huge laugh from the audience every time it was shown on screen; as did Baymax's motions when he tried to get around objects.
Baymax is another prime example of animation and character for aspiring animators to study; due to its limited design and features. Animation teachers encourage us to look beyond the range of normal human emotion and movement; and to apply them to a simple design or shape to give it life. Baymax is one such example and he does it well.
The movie is also real fun. I highly recommend it and is choc full of likeable and identifiable characters. Of course in the end; Baymax himself is the best.
Looks like my raccoony self tried to fist bump him too. I wonder if he's either gonna laugh or just stare at him after he performed said move.
