Trio of Obscurity

We all get inspired by different things. Cartoons, movies, video games, comics...the whole magilla.
And most everyone can recall a popular cartoon or movie or game and draw much inspiration (if not completely ripping it off) to apply to their own stories and characters.

But does something need to be relatively well known to be inspiring? Can something be just a flicker of light or a drop of water in a large ocean filled with more well known portions of our childhood everyone knew?

No it doesn't. Because something so small can make somewhat of an impact on one's life. And I have selected three characters from extremely short lived toons (so short most of these never got past episode 1...) that still remain in my memory and inspired future designs and personalitites to my own characters.

And if you are aware of these three girls right here give a holler: cause these three do indeed envoke something into my own nostalgia and what brought me to this state of anthro creation.

From left to right:

Numero uno is a very obscure but too damned cute fox girl named Hailey. In the late 80's (before the advent of the internet would cut their funding) A Top Secret team assembled by 'The Belgium Government' was set up to answer perplexing questions of the world: such as how many chips can one eat or is wrestling real or fake? The team consisted of a bear, a kangaroo and yes: this little beady eyed fox cutie. Haily is indeed influential. She's really a cute and simple design: but she definitely was a piece of the puzzle to my every growing anthro trend in artwork.
For an example of what she's been in click here: [link]

Obscure in that she and her teammates were in only two episodes...however a third episode is said to exist. But no one has taped it and to my knowledge is so dangerously obscure; it may have aired only once.

The next two girls only made it into one episode and never went beyond that.

I don't think the middle gal is really anthro so much as she's an oddly proportioned girl. From a one shot pilot named 'Planet Kate' comes this tan desert dwelling girl named Kate Moon.
I'm sure was named after Keith Moon: except she didn't trash hotel rooms or experiment with instruments and pyrotechnics that deafen your leading man.
Keith may be human: but her appearance is definitely animal like. To me: she looks like a homely Chipette. You know the fourth member of the Chipettes: the one who embraced the grunge look back in the 80's unlike her materialistic squeaky voiced co stars. The real anthros of this pilot were the dogs from space. Kate talks to them: but most of the time she talks to herself. You could argue that living in a rock cut home with your parents in the middle of nowhere would drive one to do so. But mostly I think it has to do with her meeting alien dogs who stole her homework.
For obvious reasons this show's vague concept never lifted off: but interestingly the got the voice of Futurama's Fry (Billy West) to do the voice of the head dog. For my more homliey characters (still i ndevelopment) Kate represents that side of feminine characters I'd make where it's not about big butts, long thighs or D cups.
Found in this pilot: [link]

Lastly is a blue cat girl I call: 'If Tim Burton dabbled with Furries.' 'Anemia and Iodine' was the short that was fortunate enough to see more than once but never beyond one episode. It was one of many cartoons featured on the animated kid's variety show 'KaBlam!' The show's main hook of course was 'Action League Now!' and that one still rocks! But among it was their other main ones like 'Snizz and Fondue' (whatever the Hell they were...) and The Offbeats (Because today's kids knew what the 50's were like...) and Life with Loopy (puppets never die people...)
And then we have shorts like this one that had only one animated episode and then just never went beyond that. Anemia and Iodine was about this Gothic young cat girl who had a friend named Iodine who is an animal science is yet to describe. (I call her Rayman's mutant sister...). Together they seem to go on paranormal expeditions to tap into the spirit world and the unknown. They're plagued by an annoying pink cat named Dropsy (I assume that is Anemia's brother). This one episode had them looking for the ghost of a starving cat. OK...it's odd that in this world cats can own lesser evolved versions of cats but...:B

Her Gothic Tim Burtonesque design is what drew me to her and I love her wavy red hair. It takes a twisted furry mind to imagine how she looked when she grew up.

Her one brief shining moment found here: [link]

Whether seen or not these gals were seen by me and di influence some of my work .Here is their temporary salute to this trio of obscurity.

But if there's on positive thing these girls managed to avoid unlike other popular toons: obscurity saved them from rule 34. Wait...what's that? (Listens to someone's new commissions out there.) Aw shit. :B

So we are finally near the end of 'The Dangerous Blame.' Lizzy McDinga's psychotic rampage has ended and the next morning peace and order have been restored.

The newspaper article's title is perhaps without question my absolutely favorite gag from the entire comic. I get a lot of gag related humor from things like 'The Simpsons' and that title is SO Simpsons. But the fact I created it makes me smile. I gotta say: 'Barely Competent Hunter Caught By Barely Competent Agents' was funny enough. It was at the last minute I added '(And one Squirrel') that I really got a laugh out of it. XD XD

I love how the newspaper misidentified Little Chipmunk Girl as 'A Squirrel.' Squirrel sounds funnier than chipmunk anyway. XD

I also like the sweetness of the next page where Dudley tells Kitty "He's not such a screw up after all." She just casually admits "You're still a bit of a knucklehead." And then Dudley looks done looking a bit hurt but not entirely devastated by her comment.

And the cuteness factor jut raises as Kitty then hugs him calling him "Her knucklehead." I love the look on her face. You can tell they're still very close despite all the crap he puts her through. XD

Even The Chief and Keswick get in on it for a 'Big Family Hug'. These four are essentially one big family...one big dynsfunctional messed up incompetent family. XD

Again...very simpsons-like.

So we're done right? Eh not yet...I got four more pages of gags left before it officially ends. ;D

Continued from [link]

Well...that moment of 'TUFF Family Tenderness' didn't last long. Because right after Dudley's name is cleared and Lizzy's reign of terror ends who should come along and make TUFF's life hit a rough spot again?

ANOTHER hunter!!

This time a big burly tiger. Notice his outfit and hair. This tiger is non other than a parody of Spiderman villain and Kraven. Lraven being a hunter himself and hunting his own kind for sport. So it made sense to make a parody of that character: using a tiger no less.

Apparently the organization that hired Lizzy hired him because he has the same photos from the beginning comic. So he pulls out what most of my hunters pull out: unecessarily huge laser guns.

It misses. however Kitty is quick on the mark and zaps him back. And Dudley is quick to respond with non other than the mighty PUPPY PUNCH!! (There is no substitute. ;D)

With that the tiger hunter is slammed against a wall and collapses easily. Wow....some pretty pathetic hunters out there huh? At least Lizzy was more on the mark than this guy was and ALMOST
succeeded.

Two more pages to go and it will finally be THE END! We are very close people. ;D

Fantasy vs. Logic

Six worded story about my own psyche.

The two halves of the human brain operate on two separate principles: the left side controls logic whilst the right side controls creativity.

If one side of the brain is used all too often it can affect a person's work performance or social skills.
It has been evaluated that I am a very right-sided person when it comes to my brain. I am extremely creative and focus more on the aspects of fantasy than I do logic.

As a result: it can greatly hinder my work performance as well as my social skills. I feel both sides battle for control. And yet Fantasy seems to beat logic in my mind and its particularly bad when I have to work at a job where processing information is highly essential.

I'm a 'Daydreamer' and 'Creator': not a 'Rule Oriented person' or a 'Calculated Individual.' I plan poorly and tend to not focus well on logic oriented tasks.

I wish there was a happy medium. But my brain feels more at home in the realm of fantasy than logic and I am coming to age where I realize this is a major problem for me and everyone who works around me. Something may need to be done to balance fantasy and logic and find a happy medium within my psyche.

Oh look....the Little Chipmunk Girl steps into the spotlight once again. She is observing the tiger guy's situation and questioning why he was being mean to Kitty and Dudley. Aw isn't it sweet she didn't refer to Kitty as "Mean Lady?" ;D

Kitty then makes an observation on this little pipsqueak. Just how does she get around? Little Chipmunk ponders this for a second. Apparently she's oblivious that chipmunks have magic teleportation powers. Doesn't she watch those 'Creationist Nature Programs?'

And so she answers with the final line of this project that took me close to two years to complete: "I Don't Know!" The blank stare the TUFF gang and the tiger hunter pretty much sums up the ending. XD

But not before they all jump into an ending pose. Even tiger hunter gets in on it.

And with that end pose and the closing shot of an open folder on Kitty's desk we are DONE!!!! :D :D :D

'The Dangerous Blame; has finally been finished!!!! My first comic story ever is DONE!! WOO HOO!!!!! :)

I hope you all enjoyed it. And any new readers who want to go to the beginning I thank you in advance.

And now to relax and breathe the sweet smell of completion. Let me bask on the summit of my own personal satisfaction....until the next story.

Thank you all for staying dedicated to the story. It was quite an experience. ^^

Fifi Ooh La La Commission

It's Fifi Oui Oui (AKA The Chameleon) seducing Agent Puppy. Wow...how far will The Chameleon go to make his disguises work? O.o
(Either that or he's into weird stuff. After all, what sort of advantages could a pervert think of if he/she could change into anything or anyone?)

In the mirror we clearly see Dudley's reaction. And he's freaking loving how Fifi is looking! Yeah yeah...what about Kitty? Well, he's already done her quite a few times. I think as odd as it might seem, Dudley occasionally needs to mate with his own species. (Slaps cheek.) I am shocked. O.o

And per tradition of The Chameleon, he says three things "sort-of" related to his disguise. In this case three words the French are attracted to....A cliche reaction to sexiness, a French profanity and an actor the French seemed to like at one point.

I have drawn most all the TUFF girls naked/or in suggestive ways. But never have I done Fifi. This is a first. And I think it turned out good.

Halloween is upon us. And for me and my own vampire bat creation Lady Malmsteen it is a time of celebration.
Halloween is officially her birthday. And she doesn't mind wearing something special for that occasion. (Sometimes she'll even be in her "Birthday Suit." ;D)

Here she wears her favorite leather corset complete with thong and stockings. The moon shines in as she draws her curtains to let the night drink her in.

This is the month of the bat queen. There will be many more where she came from. ;D

The Lady's Coffin

continuing the countdown to my OC Lady Malmsteen's Halloween birthday celebration.

Like most vampires she sleeps in her coffin.

Overseeing the coffin is a large bat statue with flames in its mouth. Two grotesque gargoyle statues also flank it. The title asks what evil lurks within it.

Answer: Lady Malmsteen just chilling: eating chips, drink soda, listening to music on her iPhone, and watching the director's cut of 'Twilight.' (I figured Jacob in wolf form would get even somehow.)

so yes: there is evil of a sort in there: the evils of what results from movemaking. (Brrrr...) Other than that: LAdy M's just being herself and using her coffin as a place of refuge and relaxrtion: in her sexy little nightdress no less. ;-3

TUFFStalkers

Because of many things this is my next (if not last) Halloween tribute to my OC Lady Malmsteen before I go back to my regular work.

Now I have seen work before where artists drew Kitty as Felicia from Darkstalkers. (In fact it's on the main page of the TUFF Wiki.)
time to complete the femme fatale duo of Darkstalkers with my OC Lady Malmsteen dressed as Morrigan Aensland.

Actually Morrigan was partial inspiration behind the lady. So it seemed only natural she fit the role.

Oh of course Kitty looks Fab-U-Lous as Felicia. ;D But now that we got another girl dressed as Morrigan: I call it complete.

And in the BG is dudley Puppy as Jon Talbain. (AKA Gallon.) He looks rather mangy with all that werewolf fur sticking out. But he certainly hasn't let these two ladies go unnoticed. ;D

Top Eleven 'Treehouse of Horror' Tales

Dog House of Horror

Halloween may have been yesterday, but it's not too late to give out one more treat to commemorate it.

You know it's a television tradition each year for The Simpsons to come out with their annual 'Tree House of Horror' episodes every Halloween season. Three short stories all in one episode: that's a tradition that will last them until show cancellation. (Seriously: how many more years can it go?)

Now what if one were to apply it to other shows? Even a not-as-well-known show like TUFF Puppy. TBH it wouldn't work because that show itself is compiled of two stories. Where's the commercial break when doing three? (In the middle of the second story?) How unorthodox. O.o

So leave it to the fans to come up with their own stories and defy the laws of animation and timing.

Since the show is TUFF Puppy it would be 'Dog House of Horror.' And like Treehouse of Horror it is comprised of three stories.

The hostess of this trio of terror tales is my OC Lady Malmsteen: dressed in her Elvira costume. Elvira was one of the influences behind her. (She has had many.) Behind her are three parodies of pre existing horror/thriller films. (All Universal I might add.)

Larry abou to be eaten in the parody of Jaws.
The Chameleon doing the skeleton sillhouette logo of Jurassic Park.
And Snaptrap standing in front of an old house with the shadow of his mother watching him in this parody of Psycho.

In her hand is the film reel for 'Dog House of Horror.' And below are the three tales: each of which can be read within the pic.

Took me a while to make so I didn't get it done in time for Halloween. I do hope you TUFF fans like it nonetheless. ^^
