As word of mouth has come around through bot the artists from last year and Grey DeLisle this year; TUFF Puppy has concluded its three season run and it's no longer being produced.
In the long and short of it; it was a simple cartoon giving tons of fans tons of stuff to work with: whether it's working on the Kudley concept, giving Kitty more chances to shine, or strengthening the villains. Regardless of how it was written or how the characters were portrayed it still gave us a lot. Especially when it came to people I have come to know here for as long as I can.
To celebrate TUFF's contribution to my art and to the people I met; I compiled parodies of four of some of the most albums of all time. (Their covers at the very most.) They feature four singers and bands that also influenced me heavily. Done in the style of TUFF Puppy using the characters.
The first one features everyone's favorite character (mine too): Kitty. Based off the Michael Jackson album Thriller. This isn't the first time we'd see Kitty dressed as Mikey;
did the same thing earlier last Halloween. For some reason she just looks dressed as the King of Pop. ;D
The album cover next to her is the iconic Abbey Road from The Beatles. I used Snaptrap, Ollie, Fransisco and Larry for the roles of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Know how The Beatles were 'The Fab Four?' I think Snaptrap and co. were 'The Foul Four.'
For Dudley and The Chameleon; I chose a Pink Floyd album that; while not as iconic as 'The Wall' or 'Dark Side of the Moon' still is well known amongst fans. It's 'Wish You Were Here.' The cover had one man shaking the hand of another man on fire. I did it with Dudley arresting the Chameleon after he fried him; hence the Chameleon being the guy on fire on the album cover. The Chameleon is not happy. XD
And finally for Keswick, we close it off with an all too familiar cover: 'Nirvana's' Nevermind. Keswick is the swimming naked baby getting hooked by the dollar bill. Keep in mind he doesn't get paid much at TUFF. ;D And instead of Nirvana; it's NERDvana. I wanted to parody the album covers exactly how they looked; so if Text appeared on the piece it's there in some fashion.
I enjoyed the show and will continue to work on it and its characters; as well as my own characters. For whatever its flaws were it still influenced me greatly with its anthro approach to Butch Hartman's style.
Rock on Y'All!!
