The New Year Paddling
After my 12 Days of Christmas and BONUS drawings, I am starting on a few more pictures for some of my closest friends I've met on DA.
One of them is my bro![:iconfox-mccloud:]( "fox-mccloud")
; who I know in person and recently met with again after revisiting California on Thanksgiving. I plan on meeting him and some of my other 'furs' in March when we all go see 'Zootopia.'
This idea for a pic for him came up on New Year's Eve when he thought of the idea of Lady Malmsteen having Kei dressed up as a 'New Year's Eve Baby' so to say; and give him a good spanking.
Well I definitely made this my 'New Year's Day' themed pic; and what a way for me to kick off another artistic year for me by having Kei dressed like this, tied down and awaiting the paddle from Lady Malmsteen's specialized 'New Year's Paddle.'
The Paddle reads: 2016 Bran Spankin' New Year.'
Does that mean she's going to give 2016 whacks with that paddle on Kei's bum? Oh I don't think she's that cruel. Perhaps 16 good ones though. XD
Her grin does tell me she's going to enjoy this. Kei just looks a bit unsettled at the moment. Just ease into my friend. i'm sure The Lady's put you through other situations involving both pleasure and pain.

Miss X Accepts Your Challenge
Drawn for ![:iconfighting-games-elite:]( "Fighting-Games-Elite")
and the 'ABC Project.'
I was tasked to draw Miss X from SNK Gals; an "All Girl" fighting game from SNK for The Neo Geo Pocket Color. It's a wonder I never played it. XD
And as you might assume; being an all girl game Miss X would be female. And as you can tell; she looks like's a gender-bent Iori.
Well the truth is, it's not a gender-bent Iori. It's the real Iori in drag. XD
But rather than make this a joke pic; I decided to take things a bit more seriously despite the context.
For you see, even though this is Iori in a dress....it's still f**king Iori. He's one of the most insanely awesome fighters not only from SNK; but all other fighting games and fighting game company makers included.
So if you have awesome powers like Iori; and you can pull the look off right....you can wear whatever the Hell you want.
And he's awaiting the two female fighters from the same game who made it this far: Yuri and Shiki. Originally Yuri was going to be Nakoruru. But both Nakoruru and Shiki were from another fighting game of SNK's called Samurai Shodown. I figure I needed at least one fighter from the same series Iori is from; that being King of Fighters. So Nakoruru was replaced with Yuri.
I stuck with Shiki because I love her design.
And as you can tell from his stance; Iori is not to be trifled with so lightly: even if he's wearing a dress. Although I never played the game nor figured out why Iori dressed this way; I still wanted to make something awesome for me entry.
I for one think I succeeded. We're starting off a new year with newer rendering techniques right methinks.

Queen of Winter Round 1: Lola vs Xu
Finally got the first round of 'Queen of Winter' up; and hopefully I'll be submitting at least two or three a week so we can get it finished before the winter season ends.
Winter themed pics dominate these pics of course. So unlike my Queen of Summer pics; not all pictures deal with bikinis. I said not "all" of them. ;D
This is also a time to stretch my more humorous maximus muscle. In this case Xu Chan and her friend Lola Henderson having a snowball fight. Xu should've known better given Lola's weirdness and random feats of strength. Like how Lola managed to make a snowball the size of small boulder and hurl it at Xu.
Lola's just playing. She just overdoes it too often. XD

Queen of Winter Round 2: Sharon vs Dark Shikoku
Round 2 is here.
Competition begins to heat up as the next two contestants partake in a little bit of snowboarding.
It's foxy Sharon Nicole Ken and shadowy Dark Shikoku.
While Sharon has a standard snowboard; Dark Shikoku uses her own shadow to create her own snowboard as she likes it. No doubt if you can manipulate your shadow into all sorts of shapes, you can make it do some nifty tricks any normal object couldn't do. No wonder Darky looks so confident.
Let's see if her confidence lasts as the votes are cast.

Queen of Winter Round 3: Shining Wolf vs Sarah
Round 3 has finally arrived after my long hiatus.
Here we have two wolfish canids competing. That would be Shining Wolf and Sarah Brendhart.
It looks as if these two gals are doing a "Polar Bear" type plunge into an icy lake. I myself could never do one of these things. I prefer being too warm over being too cold.
One type of dog that prefers the very opposite is a husky. And since Sarah is a husky, she doesn't mind this at all. In fact she's finding the icy cold waters rather refreshing.
Shining Wolf on the other hand; not so much.
If you can't tell by the contrast in hair styles; Sarah is a lot more furrier than Shining. Shiny's anthropomorphism proved to be a huge detriment to her trying her best to get used to the freezing waters.
I gotta feeling she'll be jumping out soon while Sarah just continues to let the coldness absorb into her fur.

Team Shinobi for CaseyDecker
It was ![:iconcaseydecker:]( "CaseyDecker")
's birthday last weekend. I was working on this for him as I was slowly getting into the habit of drawing again. Having this come back to you after being away from your regular drawing desk for some time doesn't just happen overnight.
Luckily I got it done and I am proud of the results.
It takes the five members of Team Shinobi and has them lined up like so; with their leader of course taking center stage. The title 'Team Shinobi' is written like in splattered ink sort of like how one would scribble it onto paper or a scroll. in this case a scroll as evidenced by the faint BG of which it is supposed to represent. The Ying Yang symbols act as title book ends.
I gave Mackey Que a tool bag and a pair of repair goggles. I imagine him being the tech monkey he is; he'd have these things around as a means of carrying his wide arsenal of tools.
I have Whitnee holding her sais differently. Her right hand is holding them by the handle while the left one is cusping the hilt more. Shows her versatility with the weapons I believe.
Overall a fun way of getting back into the the drawing style. Their different bios can be read above each characters' head. I chose different fonts for each character's name.

Splash Vixen as a Qittaswell Sister
Part of a project me and a couple of artists are doing for ![:icontuffagentshepherd:]( "TUFFAgentShepherd")
.
We each take a character of ours and turn them into a Qittaswell Sister as part of John's Qittaswell Dance Troupe.
I chose one of my Angels who are their own 'Sisterhood' so to speak. In this case it's the bubbly (literally) and friendly fox Splash Vixen.
Naturally having the element of water her outfit is blue. But since she can also control that element, she could easily incorporate it into her act.
Can you imagine controlling water to twist and turn during your act while belly dancing at the same time? What a show that would be. ;D

Then And Now: Carmelita in the Morning
I think once in a while I will take one of my older pictures from my gallery and try to redraw them in my current style as sort of a progress check.
I do believe I have come very far since then; but there are still areas that need improving. Particularly when it comes to posing, anatomy and light placement. Still; it never hurts to revisit an old piece and give it an update.
For among my first pieces to do this; I chose a pic I did of Carmelita Fox years ago after having played Sly Cooper and The Thievious Raccoonus. Suffice to say; it totally changed me for years to come in terms of what I would be drawing. And like so many guys; I couldn't help but fall for the lovely and vivacious Ms. Fox. There was definitely a time during my fan art years where I drew characters on what I assumed their daily lives would be.
Among them is how Carmelita looked in the morning. The first pic shows it being a bright sunny day in Paris while she pours her morning coffee.
Years later when the comic prior to Sly 3 came out; I discovered that Carmelita doesn't drink cover. So part of the update was to have her instead pour herself a nice cup of tea.
Which is what she's doing.
Another update is in her apparel. The first pic shows her night shirt having a wavy stripe pattern; that cheap pattern stuff already in Photoshop. In the update I simply had it remain a solid blue.
In the old pic; she wore regular socks halfway up to her knees. In the recent pic, she is wearing those smaller socks you wear while either working out or just sleeping.
But I can definitely tell that despite how tired she looks in the first pic; the second pic she looks absolutely exhausted. What was she doing all night? XD Also look how bright it is in the first piece. The new update has the morning sun painting the sky with oranges and browns; giving Carmie and early "It's gonna be one of THOSE days" type feels.
While the eyes were a little bloodshot in the first piece; the second piece I gave her eyebags and a bit of darkness underneath them. Must've been pulling an all nighter.
Her hair looks real messed up too even more so. I won't lie; she kinda looks like she either is coming or came down with something. (Poor girl.)
Both pics do retain one thing though: the note that clearly underlines her main goal on her 'Things to Do' list: CATCH SLY!!
I know the ending in Thieves in Time. Let's just say the update is prior to the events of that game; and prior to the events of Sly 3. It's essentially a retelling of my pic that was made during the time of Sly 1. the only major difference is she is drinking tea now and not coffee.
OK so I think I got a lot better at drawing her; particularly her face. The figure's a bit crooked though and the colors still look a little mish mashed. I won't lie; when you re-draw an old piece from scratch; it can be a bit trickier than one imagines. O.o

The Hall of Vanity
Kind of a thank you to all the fans and artists who helped turn Lady Malmsteen into the self centered, spoiled brat she is.
She's prancing down a hall where portraits done by other artists hang. Admiring the detail put in to capture her beauty she starts singing "I'm so Pretty." Yes a vampire queen singing something from West Side Story...don't think I'm Disney0fying her too much. XD
Not only where selecting some of these works based on the quality; but also they represent three aspects of her personality. The first one done by![:iconcoonfoot:]( "Coonfoot")
symbolizes her status and power of authority. The second one done by ![:icondavecartoons:]( "DAVECARTOONS")
symbolizes her pride and self awareness of her beauty. The third done by ![:iconscificat:]( "scificat")
shows her seductive and very flirtatious nature.
All three aspects portrayed envelope her prancing down the hall showing off how vain, arrogant and prideful she is. She's a villain to the very T.
Also for my choice of angle: I sort of chose a reverse fisheye rather than just a straight hallway. I'm not sure if it works since it did distort the portraits but I wanted to make the background seem to respond to her prancing across it.

. And they definitely were worth the price since they came out such masterpieces. One was an art gift and a VERY well done art gift by ![:icondavecartoons:]( "DAVECARTOONS")

Bat To School

One of two actually; both featuring Lady Malmsteen.
Looks like we're visiting the school years of our 'Queen of Mean.'
Attending a most pristine 'Villainess' school: 'Jezebel High.' AKA A Nice School for Wicked Girls. ;D
I wonder if other lady villains attended there: where cheating is required and popularity means literally crushing your opponents.
She has been studying such subjects like 'Boo-Ology'; and the ever controversial school topic of 'Evil-Lution.' Even MORE controversial now since it purposely teaches you how to be pure evil. No school should teach this; but I'm sure there some people out there who would petition to have it taught in our schools. (Shakes fist) Liberals! :-B
And she even has an apple for her teacher; clearly a poison apple though. XD
Anyways; our Lady is ready to go back in her school uniform which was solid's request. And it's your standard sexy school uniform; white shirt. skirt, tie and socks and shoes. Her socks are striped to help them stick out from her big ol shoes. And to add an extra sexy flare I gave her glasses.
I was asked to make a sexy pose. Well here you go. ;D

Attending a most pristine 'Villainess' school: 'Jezebel High.' AKA A Nice School for Wicked Girls. ;D
I wonder if other lady villains attended there: where cheating is required and popularity means literally crushing your opponents.
She has been studying such subjects like 'Boo-Ology'; and the ever controversial school topic of 'Evil-Lution.' Even MORE controversial now since it purposely teaches you how to be pure evil. No school should teach this; but I'm sure there some people out there who would petition to have it taught in our schools. (Shakes fist) Liberals! :-B
And she even has an apple for her teacher; clearly a poison apple though. XD
Anyways; our Lady is ready to go back in her school uniform which was solid's request. And it's your standard sexy school uniform; white shirt. skirt, tie and socks and shoes. Her socks are striped to help them stick out from her big ol shoes. And to add an extra sexy flare I gave her glasses.
I was asked to make a sexy pose. Well here you go. ;D

East Meets West
an idea conceived by both me and my friend ![:iconzarothaa:]( "zarothaa")

Two of my favorite vipers from two of my favorite animated films.
Master Viper from Kung Fu Panda meets Rattlesnake Jake from Rango.
A crossover idea which I honestly have to say is one of the few crossovers I actually really have done. Doing crossovers from other movies isn't something I generally do.
But I like it because it's East (Master Viper) meets West (Rattlesnake Jake.)
Viper seems to be the one most interested in Jake because of his infamy. But Jake doesn't seem all that impressed or seduced by Viper. He's probably like: "What are you up to woman?"
Master Viper's tail on the other hand suggests one thing she'd probably say to him. "I really like your hat."
Yeah...one thing about Jake, chicks dig the bitchin' hat. ;-D
What can I say except it's a crossover that works on its own level. And given Rango and Kung Fu Panda 2 are out the same year; I figure it's more than fitting to submit it now.

Sly Cooper 4 Believe
If you've been following Sony press conference at E3; there of course was Sucker Punch's Infamous 2. But then they announced two things: One was that 'Heroes' game featuring Sly Cooper along with Ratchet and Jak. Seemed like nothing at first. And then they announced a 'Sly Cooper' collection to be re-released and re-mastered for PS3. (Like god of War did.)
Now I don't want any nay-sayers pouncing on me saying this'll never happen. I know already about Infamous's sequel and the likelihood of a third one. But I for one believe with recent things I saw, a 'Sly 4' is a huge possibility. I for one believe.
As a Sly fan...do you as well?

Desk Muses
Everyone's gotta have a charm or collectible on their desk to look at as they draw or study.
This is an assortment of figures I keep on my desk in dorm to kind of glance at every now and then when inspiration comes a knocking.
And they pretty much embody me entirely.
In the forefront of them all are my Pokemon figurines. At least six out of nine of the Eeveelutions are here: Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon and Sylveon. It'd be so cool to have Leafy, Glacy and Eevee here too. Regular Eevee isn't easy to find. O.o
Alongside them is Pancham and Helioptile. These are pretty cute I must say. XD
Then there are the Kitty Katswell and Dudley figures. They came in a pack with Snaptrap and The Chameleon. I left those two back at home since Snaptrap was too pudgy and The Chameleon was amazingly too big. I might bring them back though on my next trip home. The Kitty figure is based off her original concept design; and it's kind of sucky. The Dudley one also ha a mismatched expression that doesn't go with his pose. Needless to say; the TUFF figurines could have been much better. But The Chameleon one is actually pretty cool. It's probably the best sculpted of the four.
Next to the duo is Vinyl Scratch. I picked this one up at a MdDonald's yesterday. I'm sure the employees there are used to guys asking for the girl toy it being MLP: FIM. I mean; I know more Bronies and MLP lovers than I do people who play Skylanders. XD I didn't buy the Happy Meal BTW: Just the toy and a regular meal. I don't plan on collecting them all: just the Vinyl Scratch one since I like its design the best of them all. ;D
Above her is a Crash Bandicoot figurine I found at a garage sale. It's apparently hard to come by and i snatched it up for a dollar. For a simple little figure it's well done.
Behind him is a figurine of Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV. While fanboys rage war on which is the best: Final Fantasy VI or VII....I sit in the BG and hold Final Fantasy IV as among the series' finest. Cecil's character and story is by far one of the more interesting as he is a knight torn between duty and doing what is right. As one of the earlier titles to set the tone for an expansive cast and story arc the series would be known for....Final Fantasy IV is still among the series' finest IMO.
And below Cecil is Charizard. Still one of my all time faves. XD
And lastly a finely detailed sculpt of an Allosaurus. This is a still model but it's in a dramatic pose with great attention to detail on the muscles and the other various features a dinosaur model should have. This makes me wish I collected the Resaurus models when they were back in production.
So these are my "Desk Muses" so to say. Especially the Eeveelutions...those little guys vibrant colors and cheery faces are inspiring all their own. ;D
Actually there is something else there too for inspiration....games. Check it out...Professor Layton and Pokemon Black and White.

Stupid OVA In Joke
OK let's be honest here; who here is excited for the movie 'Guardians of the Galaxy' almost solely because of Rocket Raccoon? Hell I know I am; a little raccoon firing off guns almost as big as him. Awesome. XD
I saw in advance who his voice actor is: Bradley Cooper. Hmm....Cooper huh? Why does this bring to mind another talking raccoon? Ahhhhhh. ;D
I read some of the Rocket Raccoon comics. He actually does seem to have a bit of Sly in him; what with being a criminal and being a bit of a flirt with the ladies. Although in many ways; he does behave a bit more like Daxter from Jak and Daxter.
Probably a bit of a jokester too. Hence why he's elbowing Sly for this dumb little in-joke on him being voiced by a "Cooper." And no; this is definitely NOT something the guys who made the movie were aware of. It's 100% pure coincidence.
Sly knows this too; which is why he's just mildly going along with Rocket's lame ass in-joke on how a Cooper is voicing a talking raccoon. Sly's reaction is pretty much the same as mine. But you know; when you've been a Sly Cooper fan for many years; you tend to notice stuff. XD
This joke falls flat for those who live in the United Kingdom too; since over there Sly is known as Sly Raccoon. But...oh well...committed to this now. XD

Lady Malmsteens Sisters And Friends
Getting back into the habit of drawing.
Well after much of a following she is gained, it's time to meet Lady Malmsteen's half-sisters and her friends.
Her dad isn't present since he's usually never seen. (Kinda like SnapTrap's mom.) and like Snappy's mom; only a portrait reveals what he looks like. (That's in another pic of mine.)
Each character has a reference to someone or something within their name, and what kind of animal they are in some cases. Minus the minor character cameos; although that one is setup as a joke.
The joke characters being cameos of the Escape Goat and Agent Kidd from the show. They are trapped in a cage and look very worried. They should be: because of who is standing right next to them.
This is Camilla Malmsteen, Lady Malmsteen's younger sister. Her name is derived from the fictional vampiress who always wore a mask. True to the character she wears a mask like the one she is holding: namely to protect her beautiful face from exposure to anything that can blemish it. The person who is next to her is her love: Chupe Cabra. And this is why Agent Kidd and Escape Goat look very concerned. Chupe Cabra is what his name entails: A chupacabra. (Literally translated as "goat sucker" in Spanish.) This my own take on a Hartman version of the urban beast from Mexico. Camilla herself was the result of her father mating with a chupacabra. Naturally she found one on her own. He looks quite stately for a goat sucking monster though huh?
Of course in the center is the lovely Lady Elizabeth Malmsteen herself. For those who haven't seen her wiki page she also has a reference to her first name. It is derived from the 16th century Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory: who was rumored to have bathed in the blood of young women to maintain her age. Elizabeth Malmsteen uses essence of course and does so in a less gruesome fashion. Next to her is the most noted man in her entire life she once hated but then loved all above others: Dudley-turned-vampire "Count Dud-Ula." Of course his name refers to Count Dracula: easily the most famous vampire evar. ;D And well I gotta say; Dudley not only grew some as a vampire he actually looks rather handsome in that suit doesn't he? Yes some of his old habits didn't go away: like not wearing pants for example. And the reason his cape is too short is because he kept trying to chew his butt with the cape, thus ripping half of it off in the process. Nevertheless its clear Lady M loves this man now and Dud-Ula seems to return the favor....for now.
The last and youngest of Lady Malmsteen's sisters is her Chinese sister, Mina Malmsteen. Her name is derived from Mina Harker of Bram Stoker's Dracula. She was the result of her father mating with a Jiag Shi. They are known as 'Chinese hopping vampires' because of their unusual stance and habits. And in turn she has married a Jang Shi named Chong Sheen. A green rabbit no less. He's green due to his deathly appearance. Doesn't keep his spirits down though. As Mina is the youngest, she clearly dresses like it. Her boots are platform as opposed to Elizabeth and Camilla's high heeled boots. Her dress doesn't open either as it is more of a skirt. And she wears her hair in giant twin pigtails. (Modelled slightly after Blazblue's Rachel Alucard.)
BTW: Note how each sister's eyes are different colors. Camilla's is red, Elizabeth's is purple and Mina's are blue.
Both Camilla and Mina were also modelled after characters from the other two chows made by Butch Hartman: this was intentional. Camilla Malmsteen was modelled after Paulina from Danny Phantom. Mina was modelled after Trixie from Fairly Odd Parents. These are sort of tie ins to all three shows to make the references. Also both girls from those shows are the most popular in their respective schools. Their nationality being the same too: Camilla and Paulina are Spanish and Mina and Trixie Asian.
Now onto Lady M's "GHOUL-Friend!" (Get it? ;-3)
The mummified cat woman is Bastet; more commonly referred to as Bessy. She of course is named after the Egyptian goddess of happiness and fortune. Ironic given if you piss her off she can unleash the 9 plagues of Egypt on you. It's like Nuby who is supposed to be Anubis, essentially the Egyptian grim reaper. He doesn't seem to do his job well since he's too nice. And Bessy can be a real pain if she's crossed.
To her right from Japan is a spirit known as Ringu Suzuki. Ringu refers to the horror film she is from: The Ring. (That's how the title is pronounced in Japanese.) Her last name also comes from the last name of the author of the book 'The Ring.' The most interesting thing about her is that she used to run a video store, but when out of business after they switched to DVD. Quality control made it harder for her to upgrade when people died watching her vids. XD
The next character you may think has an evil twin next to her. They are in fact the same person. A Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde if you will. Hailing from Ireland is Jennifer McDu,llahan. She is in reality a banshee. That form next to her right is what she really looks like. Fair maiden one minute: screeching hell witch the next. Her nature and last name come from two portents of death from Irish folklore. If a banshee screams your name death is almost a certainty. Her last name McDullahan refers to the headless horseman of Ireland: Dullahan. If a dullahan splashes blood on your door: death is also a certainty.
Speaking of split personalities: how about two at once rather than just a transformation. Two sisters joined together from a result of a mad doctor in Germany. Meet the two totally different personalities of Trish Lexia (A pun of the psychological disorder: dislexia.) Two sisters: one happy, the other just an EMO. Can you tell which is which? Often times people wonder who makes the decisions. While the green side makes the more rational decisions, the lighter side sometimes makes hers too through a game of rock paper scissors. Of course both heads end up arguing with each other accusing each other of cheating since they share the same body. Accusations range from forced muscular movement from one side or forced though from the other.
BTW: The lighter side's name is trish, the green side is Lexia.
Finally is Lady M's youngest friend. (In appearance anyway.) The evil devil spawn goth kitten called 'Le Noir.' Named after the woman from Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven' naturally. Also the French term for 'The Dark.' And dark she is carrying dangerous old fashioned weapons and looking deep into your soul with a fixed seemingly hateful gaze. No one knows what she truly is thinking: and frankly its best they don't.
